Brent Geese are smaller than Canada or Barnacle Geese. They breed in the Arctic tundra but migrate south to northern Europe in the winter. They feed like ducks in open sea as well as on mudflats and in grassy fields. The Brent Geese were all drawn off Hilbre Island in the Dee Estuary.

This Brent Goose is sculpted from lime tinted with chinese ink stick and finished with gilt varnish and wax. It is 12 cm (4.75") in length and is signed by the artist.
